Join the Girl Scouts of the Southwest and Frontera Land Alliance in a
multigenerational movement workshop led by UTEP faculty Sandra Paola
López Ramírez. As part of the interdisciplinary project Experiencing
the Bosque, Ms. López Ramírez will lead a 2-hour immersive experience
at the Rio Bosque Wetlands Park for girls and a female-identifying
elder of their choice (their mom, aunt, aunty, grandmother, sister,
friend). Using the body as an entry point to reconnection, we will
move with and through the land and water at the site while reflecting
on our power and possibility as women and female-identifying
people.
We will meet at the Visitor Center at the
Bosque Trailhead promptly at 10 am and move into the park from there.
Arrive early, dress comfortably, and bring water!
This
is a new version of a "Mom and Me" event. Up to two Girl
Scouts per female-identifying relative per registration allowed. An
email confirmation will be sent a week before the event.
Cancellation Policy (Desert Dollars are NOT refundable)
Please
cancel by 9/29/22, by sending an email to info@gsdsw.org. No shows may
not not be allowed to participate in future free community
collaborative programs.
