NEW MEXICO UPDATE:
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced on
Friday, Nov. 13, 2020 that the entire state of New Mexico will be
going into a shelter-in-place order beginning on Monday, Nov. 16,
2020. This order will be effective thru Nov. 30, 2020 but will not
revert back to the prior orders immediately. Instead, the state will
implement a 3 tier, county by county system to allow re-opening
benchmarks. The amount of low positivity rates will be subject to
opening up first.
It has been stated that during the two
weeks, all non-essential businesses and nonprofits must cease
in-person activities. This means we will not be allowed any in-person
meeting or curb-side pickup for store purchases. Please use our online
ordering or contact us at info@gsdsw.org for purchases. We can ship
items from our Midland and Odessa offices and hopefully the El Paso
office soon.
EL PASO UPDATE:
On Friday, November
13, 2020 a state appeals court rejected El Paso County's stay at home
order. Although this order has been rejected, with the amount of cases
and the rate of the continuous spread, the El Paso offices will
continue to be closed to in-person shopping. We will allow curb-side
pickup on orders made via email to info@gsdsw.org, phone calls or
setting up virtual shopping experiences.
Additionally, NO
IN-PERSON TROOP MEETINGS in the counties of El Paso, Culberson and
Hudspeth. We will continue to allow porch pickups but no gatherings of
any kind.
To keep our staff and volunteers safe, we will
be staying with this process for the foreseeable future. When
something changes, we will let you know.
Thank you for
all you do!
