Camp at Mitre Peak
Located in the Davis Mountains between Fort Davis and Alpine, was purchased in 1947. The camp has traditional camp sites and modern facilities including an education center and pavilion for year-round use. Camp Mitre Peak offers summer resident camping programs, troop and family camping, special events and rental rates for user groups. The camp meets all safety standards of the Texas Department of Health and GSUSA. With a full-size industrial kitchen, swimming pool, meeting rooms, and lodging for over 100 guests, Camp Mitre Peak is the perfect destination for your next program, meeting or troop/volunteer/corporate retreat!
Annually, GSDSW regularly hosts the following events at Camp Mitre Peak: Volunteer Conference, Spring Archery Club , Fall Archery Club and Summer Resident Camp.
