Join us in El Paso for all the creativity, fun, and excitement racing has to offer!
Girl Scouts design and build their derby car then watch it race down the track at its top speed. All building supplies will be provided. Cars must meet building requirements to race.
The race is a one and done - one time down the track, fastest time for each Girl Scout level wins.
Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place in each Girl Scout level and one Grand Prize winner for the fastest overall time.
Derby car building will take place at the El Paso Program Center on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM MST. You do not need to stay for the entire time. Cars will remain at the Program Center until the completion of the race.
The race is Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (or until all cars raced).
You do not need to attend the race to compete.
Winners and trophy presentation will take place at the end of the race.
Girls receive a custom patch entering the race and get to keep their derby car! (Attendance at the race is not required to compete).
Registration opens March 3, 2025.
