Volunteer Conference
- When: Friday, September 27 - Sunday, September 29, 2024
- Where: Camp Mitre Peak (between Alpine, TX and Ft. Davis, TX)
- Who: All currently registered adult Girl Scout members
- Early bird registration ends Saturday, August 10, 2024 - $50 (save $10!)
- On-time registration Sunday, August 11 to Saturday August 31, 2024 - $60
- Late registration Sunday, September 1 to September 15, 2024 - $70 and no conference t-shirt and classes will be assigned
Join us at Camp Mitre Peak for our in-person Volunteer Conference. If you are a leader, co-leader, parent, or Girl Scout Volunteer of any kind, this weekend is for you!
We need you to teach a breakout session! If you have a skill or activity that others would be interested in learning to pass along to their troops, you can teach a breakout session and get a discount on registration. $10 discount for teaching one or more classes. (Topics require approval of council - send your topic to info@gsdsw.org.)
Camp Mitre Peak (https://bit.ly/Camp_Mitre_Peak) is our council camp and is located in the beautiful Davis Mountains of southwest Texas. You will be sleeping in cabins with bathroom facilities located in a separate building. During the day you will attend a variety of breakout sessions, meet volunteers from all over our council, and get energized for this upcoming year! At night, gaze up at the Milky Way (you will be amazed at the stars), gather around a campfire to learn new songs, and experience the magic that is camp.
Bring your favorite non-perishable snack for sharing!
Of course, fabulous prizes abound and our council Girl Scout Shop will be open.

Lodging
- Enjoy Camp Mitre Peak by staying Friday and Saturday nights during the conference.
- All accomodations are first-come, first-serve to registrants. Consideration will be given to those with special needs.

Cabins 
Enjoy a cabin with electrical outlets. Each cabin accomodates four guests and each bed has a mattress pad.
Community bathrooms with hot water are available nearby.
Note: some of the cabins are nestled among the canyon and require a short walk up a rocky loose trail.
Platform Tent Units
Our large, roomy tents sit on a concrete platform in flat terrain for easy walking. There is access to a clean outhouse as well as community bathrooms with shower facilities a short walk away.
Each tent accomodates four guests and each bed has a mattress pad.
There is access to a shelter area for each tent unit.
Each tent unit also has a fire pit.
