Why is
it called Daisy Day? Girl Scouts was founded in 1912, by Juliette
Gordon Low, who was affectionately known by her nickname Daisy. Daisy
Day is a special day for all Girl Scouts to come together, celebrate
her life, while making new friends and keeping the old. The most
popular activity at Daisy Day is the widespread SWAPPING done by Girl
Scouts. SWAPS stands for Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately
Pinned Somewhere. They are small tokens of friendship that Girl Scouts
exchange with one another, and each SWAP uniquely reflects a fellow
Girl Scout, their troop, or a memory of a special event. More on SWAPS
and other Girl Scout traditions. For more on SWAPS and other Girl
Scout traditions, visit https://bit.ly/gsswaps
